Fenecon Home 15kW (FEH034)
The Fenecon Home 15kW (FEH034) is a three-phase hybrid inverter for grid-connected PV systems with an integrated storage and backup power concept. With 15kVA AC rated power, three MPP trackers, and a maximum DC voltage of 1,000V, it is designed for high-performance residential and small commercial applications. The transformerless topology enables high efficiencies while maintaining a compact design. The inverter is part of the Fenecon Home system and is designed for connection to modular high-voltage battery storage systems. Thanks to the integrated backup function with black-start capability, defined loads can continue to be supplied in the event of a grid outage. The combination of PV generation, battery charging, and load management is coordinated via the Fenecon Energy Management System (FEMS), enabling technically feasible self-consumption optimization, grid-supportive operation, and sector coupling.
TechnologyThe technological basis of the device is a three-phase, transformerless hybrid inverter with three independent MPP trackers. This design allows flexible string planning, even with different roof orientations or module layouts. The maximum DC-side voltage of 1,000V and a DC rated power above the AC rated power enable moderate DC oversizing, which is particularly advantageous for east/west systems. The integrated backup technology safely disconnects the system from the grid in the event of a fault and provides phase-symmetrical supply in island operation. The IP66 protection rating allows installation in technically demanding environments.
Electrical design- Three MPP trackers support complex string layouts and reduce yield losses due to partial shading.
- Transformerless design improves efficiency and simplifies installation thanks to lower weight.
- Integrated grid disconnection enables standards-compliant island operation in the event of a grid outage.
ConnectivityFor system integration, the inverter provides several communication interfaces that are primarily designed to work with the FEMS. Connection is established via a dedicated EMS box, allowing operating data, charging and discharging strategies, and external loads to be centrally controlled. Additional meters or controllable components can be integrated via Modbus RTU, facilitating integration into comprehensive energy management concepts. Direct Modbus TCP communication at the inverter is not предусмотрed, deliberately centralizing system communication.
Communication interfaces- Connection to FEMS enables central control of PV, storage, and consumers.
- Modbus RTU allows integration of external meters and energy components.
WarrantyThe manufacturer-defined standard warranty applies to the Fenecon Home 15kW. It covers material and manufacturing defects within the intended scope of use and ensures the availability of a certified service concept. For planners and installers, it is relevant that warranty coverage and system approvals are tied to operation within the overall Fenecon Home system. Deviating system combinations or non-approved storage and communication components may affect warranty claims.
Warranty scope- The standard warranty applies when operated within the approved system configuration.
SustainabilityThe system is designed for long-term sustainable operation. High system integration reduces additional components and therefore material usage. The ability to specifically use PV yields for self-consumption, battery charging, or controllable loads supports grid-supportive operating strategies. Software-based energy management allows operating parameters to be adjusted over the service life without the need to replace hardware. The high protection rating and the extended temperature range from −35°C to +60°C contribute to a long service life even under demanding environmental conditions.
Operating concept- Optimized self-consumption utilization reduces grid draw and peak loads.
- Software-based adjustments extend service life without hardware replacement.
QualityWith regard to build quality, the inverter is designed for continuous operation in indoor and protected outdoor areas. The robust housing with IP66 reliably protects against dust and powerful water jets. With a weight of approximately 25kg and compact dimensions, the device is easy to handle and mount on a wall. Integrated protective functions such as DC surge protection and the clear separation of power and communication paths support reliable operation over the entire life cycle.
Mechanical quality- Compact design facilitates installation even in confined technical rooms.
- High protection rating increases operational safety under changing environmental conditions.
ExpandabilityExpandability is a central feature of the Fenecon Home concept. The inverter is designed for combination with modular high-voltage batteries that can be scaled in capacity and power. Additional loads such as wallboxes, heat pumps, or heating elements can be integrated via the energy management system. Future system adaptations, such as PV capacity expansion within electrical limits, are also предусмотрed. The three-phase design supports balanced load distribution at the grid connection point.
System expansion- Modular storage architecture allows capacity expansion in existing systems.
- FEMS enables integration of additional energy and consumer components.
