Description
This article is procured on a made-to-order basis; cancellation or return is excluded.

The Fronius TAURO ECO 50-3-P is a three-phase grid-feed inverter for commercial and industrial PV systems with up to 50kVA AC output power. The unit is designed for a central system layout and supports high DC input voltages of up to 1,000V, enabling long string lengths and reduced cabling effort. With a European efficiency of 98.2%, the inverter is designed for efficient continuous operation. The IP65 protection rating allows outdoor installation even under demanding environmental conditions. The version without a display supports purely digital commissioning and monitoring via network connections. Compliance with VDE-AR-N 4105 and 4110 ensures technical approval for grid-parallel operation in German medium- and low-voltage grids.

  • TechnologyTechnologyThe TAURO ECO 50-3-P operates as a three-phase string inverter for grid-connected operation and is designed for high continuous power levels in commercial applications. An MPP tracker allows multiple strings to be combined at a central feed-in point, which is particularly suitable for homogeneous generator fields. The permissible DC input voltage of up to 1,000V supports modern high-voltage module architectures. The integrated DC load break switch enables safe and service-friendly disconnection of the generator directly at the device.

    Electrical design
    • Three-phase grid feed-in for stable symmetry at high power levels
    • Maximum DC system voltage up to 1,000V for long string concepts
  • ConnectivityConnectivityFor integration into higher-level monitoring and energy management systems, the inverter features WLAN and Ethernet interfaces. The wired network connection offers high operational reliability in professional environments with existing IT infrastructure. Communication enables remote monitoring, fault diagnostics, and firmware updates without local access. Omitting a local display reduces potential points of failure and supports centralized, software-based operation.

    Interfaces
    • WLAN connectivity for flexible commissioning and service access
    • Ethernet LAN for permanent integration into local networks
  • WarrantyWarrantyThe Fronius TAURO ECO 50-3-P is supplied with a two-year manufacturer warranty. By registering the product, the warranty period can be extended to five years. In addition, paid warranty extensions of up to a total of 20 years can be concluded. This allows the inverter to be specifically integrated into long-term maintenance and operating concepts for larger PV systems. The respective country-specific warranty and service conditions apply.
  • SustainabilitySustainabilityThe high European efficiency of 98.2% reduces conversion losses and contributes to efficient resource utilization during system operation. The design for industrial power ranges enables long service lives with constant load profiles. The registered WEEE number ensures that the inverter can be properly integrated into existing recycling and take-back systems at the end of its life cycle.
  • QualityQualityThe robust device concept with IP65 protection rating allows use in dusty and humid environments without additional enclosures. The compact dimensions of 755×1,109×346mm at a weight of around 74kg support predictable installation on wall-mounted or support systems. Compliance with current VDE application rules underlines suitability for continuous grid operation in professional PV projects.
  • ExpandabilityExpandabilityThe inverter can be functionally expanded by external components such as intelligent power meters for grid analysis and power limitation. Network capability enables integration into larger system networks with multiple central inverters. Through optional warranty extensions and software-based services, the system can be adapted to changing operational requirements without hardware modifications.
