Goodwe GW1000-XS-30 (Refresh)
The GoodWe GW1000-XS-30 (Refresh) is a compact single-phase grid-tied inverter for small PV systems in the lower power range. With 1kW AC nominal output, one MPP tracker, and a maximum DC input voltage of 600V, it is suitable for short strings with high module flexibility. The European efficiency of 95.0% provides a solid basis for stable annual yields with low self-consumption losses. The IP66 protection rating allows outdoor installation without additional protective enclosures. Thanks to its low device weight of around 4.6kg and compact dimensions of 218×306×119mm, fast installation is possible even in confined spaces. The integrated DC load-break switch and the integrated display support safe operation and simplify commissioning and service.
TechnologyThe inverter technology is based on a single-phase grid-coupled topology with one MPP tracker and one string input. This design makes the device suitable for simple rooftop layouts with uniform module stringing. The maximum DC input voltage of 600V enables operation with modern high-voltage modules, while the AC nominal output of 1,000W allows full utilization of the connected DC power. The maximum efficiency of 97.1% and the European efficiency of 95.0% ensure low conversion losses across the typical load range, which is particularly economically relevant for small systems.
Electrical design- One MPP tracker with a single string enables simple string planning without parallel configurations
- 600V maximum DC voltage supports modern string lengths despite low AC output
ConnectivityFor system integration, the inverter is equipped ex works with a WiFi/LAN Dongle 2.0. This enables direct integration into wired or wireless networks without additional hardware. Continuous data transmission allows remote evaluation of yields and operating states. The integrated display complements digital monitoring with local visualization of relevant operating parameters, significantly simplifying commissioning, fault diagnosis, and maintenance. The combination of a local display and network communication reduces the need for external measuring devices during the installation phase.
Communication interfaces- Integrated WiFi/LAN dongle enables fast network connection without additional modules
- Local display supports direct parameterized commissioning and diagnostics
WarrantyThe GW1000-XS-30 (Refresh) is supplied with a standard product warranty of five years. This duration reliably covers typical operating periods of small PV systems. Optionally, the warranty can be extended to up to 20 years, making the device suitable for long-term system concepts as well. Warranty processing is carried out in accordance with the manufacturer’s country-specific warranty and service conditions, which should be taken into account in project calculation and service planning.
SustainabilityThanks to its high efficiency and low self-consumption losses, the inverter contributes to efficient use of the generated solar energy. The long optional warranty period supports an extended service life and reduces the need for premature device replacement. In addition, the compact design allows material-efficient installation and mounting. Overall, these factors have a positive impact on the ecological balance of small PV systems.
QualityThe robust enclosure with IP66 protection reliably shields the internal power electronics from dust and strong water jets. This makes the inverter suitable for both outdoor installation and unheated technical rooms. The integrated DC load-break switch increases safety during maintenance work and complies with common installation requirements. The compact, fanless design reduces mechanical wear components and supports quiet continuous operation.
Mechanical and electrical quality- IP66 protection concept enables permanent use in exposed environments
- Integrated DC load-break switch simplifies safe service operations
ExpandabilityDue to the fixed topology with one MPP tracker, expandability to additional strings or power increases is limited on the system side. Expansion is typically achieved by parallel installation of additional inverters of the same series. However, the existing communication interfaces allow easy integration into existing monitoring systems, which is advantageous for later system expansions at the inverter level.
