Huawei SUN2000-6K-LB0
The Huawei SUN2000‑6K‑LB0 is a single-phase hybrid string inverter for grid-connected PV systems with optional battery storage. With 6kW AC nominal power and a recommended PV generator capacity of up to 9kWp, it covers typical residential and small commercial applications. Two independently controlled MPP trackers allow flexible string design for different roof areas or orientations. The wide MPP voltage range from 40 to 560V simplifies module planning, while the maximum DC voltage of 600V supports common string lengths. The integrated hybrid function enables direct connection of Huawei LUNA high-voltage batteries as well as backup solutions via SmartGuard. Comprehensive protection functions, natural cooling, and the high IP66 protection rating make the inverter ideal for long-term outdoor use in demanding environments.
TechnologyThe inverter operates as a transformerless hybrid string inverter with active MPP tracking and a directly coupled high-voltage DC battery path. Two MPP trackers with 16A input current each allow clean electrical separation of PV arrays and minimize yield losses in partial shading conditions. The maximum apparent output power of 6.6kVA provides sufficient reserves for short-term load peaks. The high efficiency of up to 97.8% and the European weighted efficiency of 97.2% reduce conversion losses during annual operation and have a direct impact on system yield.
Electrical design- Two MPP trackers for separate string routing and flexible roof layout
- MPP voltage range starting from 40V for early startup at low irradiance
- Single-phase feed-in with 6.6kVA maximum AC power
- High system efficiency to minimize thermal losses
ConnectivityCommunication is provided as standard via RS485 as well as an integrated WLAN module, which facilitates local connection and commissioning. Optional smart dongles for Ethernet or mobile communications are available for wired networks or mobile data connections. By connecting to the FusionSolar monitoring platform, operating data, fault conditions, and energy flows can be analyzed in detail. The connectivity is therefore designed to meet the requirements of remote maintenance, service diagnostics, and energy management in professional installations.

- FusionSolar platform for monitoring and parameterization
- Support for external energy management components such as EMMA
WarrantyThe SUN2000‑6K‑LB0 is covered by the manufacturer's standard product warranty for string inverters in this performance class. The warranty covers material and manufacturing defects and requires installation and operation in accordance with the technical specifications. For project planners, it is relevant that the warranty services are designed to be system-compatible with the associated storage and communication components, enabling a consistent service case within the Huawei system.
SustainabilityThe compact housing with a weight of under 15kg reduces material usage and transport effort. Natural convection cooling completely eliminates the need for active fans, reducing self-consumption and avoiding wear parts. The high efficiency minimizes conversion losses, improving the overall energy balance of the PV system. In addition, the integration of battery storage at system level contributes to load shifting and optimization of self-consumption.
QualityThe die-cast housing with IP66 protection rating reliably protects the electronics against dust and water jets and allows outdoor installation. A wide operating temperature range of ‑25°C to +60°C ensures stable operation even under extreme climatic conditions. Integrated protection mechanisms such as DC reverse polarity protection, surge protection on both DC and AC sides, and arc fault detection increase operational safety and meet relevant grid and safety requirements.
ExpandabilityThe inverter is “battery-ready” and directly compatible with Huawei LUNA high-voltage storage systems. Via SmartGuard, a single-phase backup power supply can be implemented, extending the range of applications to backup power concepts. In addition, communication or management modules can be retrofitted at any time without modifying the basic installation. This enables gradual system expansion in line with growing operational requirements.
