SMA STP 3.0-3AV-40

The SMA Sunny Tripower 3.0‑3AV‑40 is a three-phase string inverter for grid-connected PV systems in the small to medium power range. With 3kW AC rated power, two MPP trackers and a high European efficiency, the device is suitable for flexibly designed string layouts with high demands on efficiency, grid compliance and long-term system integration. Integrated communication, protection functions and a compact design simplify planning, installation and operation in professional PV projects.

• TechnologyThe inverter is designed as a transformerless, three-phase string device and is intended for continuous grid-parallel operation. Two independently operating MPP trackers enable separate optimization of different string areas, for example with varying roof orientations or partial shading. The European efficiency of 96.5% ensures efficient operation especially in the partial load range, while the maximum DC input voltage of 850V allows longer strings with reduced line losses.

With dimensions of approximately 435×470×176mm and a weight of around 17kg, installation is space-saving and designed for one-person installation. An integrated DC load disconnect switch and design in accordance with DINVDEAR‑N4105:2018‑11 ensure standards-compliant connection to the public grid.
